May 2009 - Ron Williams joined forces with Eddie Kilroy to create the newest album for Ah-Ha Records. Kilroy wore two hats on this project. As the producer, he and Williams laid down the music tracks in Nashville, and Kilroy later edited the songs at the Rosewood studio in Tyler, Texas.

AhHa Entertainment Group has plenty of reasons to celebrate these days. In addition to recently signing James Lann, a very popular Texas singer/songwriter, to their AhHa Music label, their flagship artist, Crystal Sands, took home the Female Vocalist of the Year trophy at the Seventh Annual Texas Music Awards Show in Palestine, Texas. Sands was also nominated in the Rising Star category.

When asked how she felt about the award, Corene Schwab, Co-Owner and CEO of AhHa Music, replied, "I couldn't be more excited or delighted but I'm not at all surprised. Crystal 's amazing talent was why we chose her to be our flagship artist." Smiling confidently, she continued, "We have so many exciting projects in the works now so I think we will have cause for a lot more celebration's like this one in our future,"

Schwab put on her overseer cap for the first time in June of last year to work on a very special project with the legendary singer and songwriter, Leona Williams. Williams has written hit songs for some of country music's best known artists; Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Randy Travis and Connie Smith among them. The album, Leona Williams Sings Merle Haggard, received rave reviews from all the music critics and Schwab states that, as a long time fan of both artists, it is definitely one of her favorite projects to date.

AhHa Music demonstrated their diversity and love of the classics at the start of this year when they joined forces with Landmark Productions to co-produce Tuxedo Country; a delightful compilation of twenty of country music's most memorable hits, splendidly performed in big band style, by the well-known Tom Houston Orchestra.

Sands, who wrote two of the songs on her debut, self-titled, album is very excited about the fact that she has written all of the songs for her sophomore project which is scheduled for release later this summer.

Lann has had several singles on radio stations across the Southwest and his new album in the works now and should be ready by late fall.

If the proof is in the pudding, as they say, Schwab's predictions for continued success, and cause for future celebrations, may be spot on.

May 2008
- The Daily Sentinel in Nacogdoches, Texas joined Crystal at Banita Creek Hall for the
video taping of "Hank You", the first single to be released from her self-titled debut album which was released last month.

April 2008 - The album release party on April 10th was a great success. Sands, and her management team, would like to thank everyone who turned out to show their support and help launch the career of this new artist. To make the night complete, her parents and a special friend flew in from her home state of Maryland. The event was made even more special by the fact that she celebrated her birthday just the day before and part of the festivities included doing live interviews with local radio and television stations. On their drive from the radio station to the television station Sands tuned into the station just in time to hear one of her songs being played. She says that she screamed so loud when she heard her song that she nearly caused her manager (Corene Schwab) to run off the road! She also says that it was the best birthday gift ever since it was the very first time she had ever heard herself on the radio. Pure icing on an already perfect cake came about when a local listener called into the station at the end of the song to say what a great talent Crystal is.

March 2008 - As the flagship artist for Ah-Ha Entertainment Group, Crystal Sands is wasting no time in taking her career to the next level. On March 29th, just two weeks before her album release party at Bootleggers in Tyler, Texas, she opened for one of her music heroes, the legendary Ray Price . Just one week later she opened for another artist who has greatly inspired her; the dynamic singer/songwriter, Gene Watson . Sands says that both concerts are experiences that she will forever cherish. (visit her myspace for new photos)

Our new label, Ah-Ha Music , is very pleased and proud to be working with an amazing array of talents; established and new. We were happy to get our feet wet by working with the incredible singer/songwriter Carl Ray to finish up his third album. His songs have been recorded on Epic, PolyGram, and MCA Records for artists Johnny Nash , Bill Summers and Summers Heat and although he has experienced the most success in the pop genre of music, his passion has always been country music. His lilting voice and clean cut image has effortlessly stolen the hearts of people all over the world, both young and old alike. Born and raised on a ranch in Texas; he truly is a singing cowboy. Ray's album is available now; you can download it from Nimbit or order it online at his official website.

Our second project is with a beautiful and exciting new talent from Maryland; Crystal Sands . Fresh out of high school, she recorded a demo CD, produced by Kelly Lang with the legendary TG Sheppard as overseer. After hearing her demo, we just knew she was meant to be one of our flagship artists. Sands, who practices guitar and yoga on a daily basis (in addition to working), still found time to pursue another passion during this project; songwriting. We are as pleased as she is that she co-wrote on two of the tracks on her debut album but she admits that one her favorite tracks on the album is her marvelous duet with Ron Williams ; a poignant ballad delivered in classic country style. After hearing it, it just may well end up being one of yours too.

Last, but certainly not least, we are honored and delighted to be working with one of the most incredible singer/songwriters in country music history; Leona Williams . Williams is truly one of the grand ladies in country music; in fact, she is a frequent performer in the "Grand Ladies of Country" show in Branson, Missouri. The dynamic Ms. Williams has an amazing career that already spans several decades and she shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Over the course of her remarkable career, to date, she has won far too many accolades and awards for her singing and her songwriting to list here. She has been inducted into more than one country music "Hall of Fame," received the "Best female pure country artist" award from the Academy of Western Artists in Dallas, Texas and just last year she received the Songwriter of the Year award from the R.O.P.E. (Reunion of Professional Entertainers) organization. She has also written several hit songs for other well-known artists; Willie Nelson , Loretta Lynn , George Jones , Merle Haggard , Randy Travis and Connie Smith among them... need we say more? We think that pretty well sums it up.
